    Description

    These cute diminutive cast iron "pups" were manufactured during the early to mid 1900's by either Griswold or Hubley. Measuring only 1 5/8" tall these were used as advertising promotional give-away premiums, most likely as paperweights. This one for ACCO (American Chain & Cable Co.). I still haven't determined what the "HINES" association or reference is about. In its original orange & black paint, featuring "ACCO" across the front, and incised (not raised letters) "HINES PUP" on the back. A nice addition to your litter or kennel.
