    This is a very nice copy of a wonderfully researched book by Anthony W. Thompson.  It is “Southern Pacific Freight Cars Volume 1:  Gondolas and Stock Cars.”  This series of freight car books are superb.
    This is a 320 page scholarly work about some of the freight cars used on the Southern Pacific.
    (It was published by Signature Press who recently announced they are closing up shop.
    Signature Press consistently produced top quality books.)
    Condition is excellent with an excellent dust jacket except the jacket has a very small 1/4” tear at the center of the top front.
    I can’t quite call it new although I bought it new myself.
    I used it for research when making 48 HO scale sugar beet gondolas for the Central Coast Model Railroad at the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum in California.
